Ready To Be Queen: Body Language Expert Discusses "Dramatic Changes" In Kate Middleton's Behavior

Kate Middleton’s body language is usually of interest to royal fans mainly because, unlike other major celebs, the royals don’t share too much about their personal lives publicly. But their behavior does tell us a bit.
This time around, it’s Kate’s gestures and actions at the annual Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace that are holding some clues about her personality.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked gorgeous as she joined other members of the royal family for the event. She brightened things up by wearing a sparkling tiara and a beautiful evening gown. She also had on a blue, red and white sash over her dress which, according to People, signified her post as the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

Kate Middleton behavior explained by a body language expert
The Duchess’ behavior at this event was compared to her first state banquet in 2015. Body language expert Judi James noted to the DailyMail that Kate now displays a sense of calmness and confidence at this outing.

The expert referred to the royal mom’s "open smile" and "relaxed hands" which imply that she’s becoming well accustomed to her royal functions and even embracing them wholeheartedly.
Kate Middleton will very likely be Queen someday and these new changes show that she’s preparing herself for that role.

Judi noted that at the 2015 banquet when guests Chinese president Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan were welcomed, Kate looked very tensed and uncomfortable. However, this 2019 event was a whole different ball game.
Comparing pictures taken from both events, Judi noted:
Because Kate’s body language is always immaculate it’s easy to imagine that little has changed over the years, but these two sets of images, taken from her first state banquet and then this latest one, prove there have been some dramatic changes in her body language tone and ‘mood music’ at identical events.

Her role has now gone from an anxious-looking guest to that of a magnificent host, the expert said. In the recent appearance, Kate greeted the guests comfortably and engaged in animated conversations. She maintained eye-contact and seemed to really flow elegantly during the occasion.
In social event terms she has progressed from the role of the one that looks in need of ‘rescuing’ to the person that will act as ‘rescuer’: the host who projects the kind of contagious confidence that makes guests feel relaxed in her presence.

Another expert chimes in
Fashion expert Bethan Holt once analyzed Kate’s outfits and came to the same agreement that the Duchess is now embracing a more refined, Queen-in-waiting style.

Holt admitted that Kate still sports some re-wears, but overall, her looks have become more elegant and toned-down. Her style, of course, remains uniquely hers but she is starting to embrace some of the fashion foundations set by the Queen.

Kate Middleton has wormed her way into our hearts through a lot of different ways. She has proven to be a hardworking royal, a devoted mother and a fashionista all in one. But from the looks of things, another role she seems ready to take on is that of Queen. And her supporters believe she’s more than ready.
