Ringo tied the knot with Barbara Bach at London’s Marylebone Register Office. The actress is famous for her role as Bond girl Anya Amasova in The Spy Who Loved Me. The couple said ‘I Do’ in front of a few relatives and close friends, including Paul McCartney and George Harrison.

Starr was dressed in an all-black ensemble with dark glasses. Barbara, on the other hand, wore a cream wedding dress. The couple said they became convinced they were destined for each other after narrowly escaping death in a car accident.

Long-lasting marriage

Since 1981, Ringo Starr has been happily married to Barbara Bach. One would ask what the secret is to their long and happy union. It all comes down to the lyrics of a Beatles song – Love is all you need.

Speaking to PEOPLE about their long marriage, the actress revealed: “I love the man, and that’s it.”
