Kate Middleton: BAFTA 2020

On Sunday, Prince William and Kate Middleton hit the red carpet at BAFTA 2020. The royal lovebirds had all eyes on them. Of course, to some extent, it was due to Kate Middleton’s majestic gown.

The Duchess stepped out in a spectacular full-length dress by Alexander McQueen teamed with a gold necklace and earrings. William looked stylish as well in a black tuxedo.

Kate and William definitely stole the spotlight at BAFTA, even though they weren’t spotted sharing some sweet PDAs.

Royal etiquette expert Myke Meier explained why the Cambridges rarely hold hands in public. The expert said:

There is no actual etiquette or royal protocol that says the couple must refrain from PDA.

Meier added about William and Kate:

The couple are likely to show very little PDA.

What body language experts say?

Body language experts noticed that Kate Middleton and Prince William looked tense and ‘out of sync’ at BAFTA 2020.

Body language expert Traci Brown shared her opinion:

Overall they don’t seem really lovey-dovey here. They are either under some sort of protocol about how they can act or it’s not their best time together as a couple.

Another royal expert Judi James also noticed some tension in William and Kate’s behavior at BAFTA. Judi explained that the royal couple “showed signs of disapproval during the celebrity speeches.”

The expert said:

Kate seemed to take her lead from her husband by face-checking him as she opened her mouth slightly to laugh, although his expression did seem to alert her…and the smile died as she clapped.

However, multiple fans disagreed with the experts’ opinions.

I think this young couple are the best they don’t hold hands or link arms but it’s all in the way they look at each other there just perfect 👌

@maureen_tooze I agree you do not need to be all over each other and you can see their feelings in the looks they give each other

She did move but there were no dirty looks or even a facial reaction…both seem to be in good humor.

In our opinion, some people (even experts) just love making awkward theories about members of the royal family. Personally we didn’t notice any alarming signs during Kate and William’s BAFTA appearance. The spouses looked charming and seemed to enjoy the ceremony and even all the jokes.

Prince William and Kate Middleton have kept their marriage happy and strong for almost a decade. We are pretty sure there is nothing to worry about this wonderful couple! And what do you think?
