The Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister Samantha Markle doesn’t exactly mince words when it comes to sharing her opinions. This time around, Samantha is coming for Meghan over her treatment of her dad but the Duchess’ fans have her back.
Samantha on Meghan’s warm heart
Samantha Markle was recently a guest on This Morning where she discussed her views about Meghan’s recent appearance at a woman’s refuge in Vancouver. The Duchess’ half-sister weighed in on whether or not she felt Meghan’s caring persona, which seemed apparent from that event, was actually real.
In response, Samantha opined that Meghan was absolutely not the warm, caring woman that she portrayed herself to be. She claimed that the royal mom’s appearance was nothing more than a "PR stunt."
Nothing without her dad
During another interview with NewsTalk, Samantha delved into more details about who Meghan was but this time, she discussed how she felt that their dad, Thomas Markle, deserved an apology for how the Duchess of Sussex treated him.

Samantha insisted that her half-sister treated her family "horribly" and Thomas didn’t need to "grovel" for his daughter’s attention and love.
Parents don’t expect to be paid back but they expect a little bit of gratitude … without him she would be a waitress at best. She’s an absolute sociopath if she doesn’t humble herself to do the right thing.

And when Samantha was asked if she was jealous of her half-sibling’s fame and position, she clarified that what she felt was embarrassment for the Duchess and hurt over how Meghan treated their father.
Fans come to Meghan’s defense
There has been a lot of mixed reactions trailing Harry and Meghan’s decision to quit their royal duties. However, Meghan’s fans did agree that Samantha’s words were uncalled for.

What Thomas Markle has to say
Like Samantha, Meghan Markle’s father has been vocal about a few things as well.
- He has previously expressed pain at being unable to connect with his daughter, Meghan and have a relationship with his grandson, Archie.
- He also said he didn’t believe the intense scrutiny faced by his daughter had anything to do with race.
- Recently, he told UsWeekly that he was "disappointed" following the Sussex’s announcement that they were stepping back from royal duties.
