While the royal mom-of-three was beaming at everyone who shook her hand, we couldn’t help but notice her spring-inspired outfit.

Even though she wears dresses rather frequently, Kate Middleton’s style is quite casual in day-to-day life. She notably prefers wearing trousers for her royal outings but she always keeps things classy no matter where she goes.
Here are our top 5 Kate’s outfits for every occasion
1. For a date:

We love this outfit on Kate but we also think that it’s the perfect choice for a date. It’s a little more sophisticated than a dress or a skirt and very trendy. Adding a pop of color like a bright clutch bag helps to elevate the outfit and make it more fun.
2. For a business meeting:

A business meeting requires a certain dress etiquette. Wearing a suit or a jacket and classy trousers can show that you are serious but it doesn’t mean that you have to look dull. A great idea is to wear burgundy pants – they are not too bright but still make an outfit look more interesting.
3. For a stroll around the city:

If you plan to take a walk, you need to be comfy. But you can still look stylish even in sneakers. In this look, Kate paired white sneakers with beige culottes, which is a great combination of trendy and comfortable.
4. For a dinner party:

If you have a dinner party coming up, it’s the best time to show your feminine side. It would be hard to find a better option than a beautiful dress with a flower print for such an occasion. Adding a waist belt will help to create a gorgeous silhouette and make you look like a modern Audrey Hepburn.
5. For work:

Who said that work attire should be boring? You can play with color while still looking professional. This is our favorite of Kate’s looks and it’s perfect for a day in the office. We love the combination of wine-colored top and khaki green trousers. It’s classy, it’s modern, it’s trendy and it’s so Kate!
Kate’s style transformation
Kate Middleton’s style went through a drastic change in recent years. She still combines high fashion with affordable pieces like a pro but her outfits became more modern and trendy while still remaining appropriate for her role.

It’s believed that the Duchess befriended the Queen’s personal dresser Angela Kelly but she also seems to work with her own stylist as well to create a perfect union of classy and edgy. Such change came at the time when Kate’s royal schedule became increasingly busy so it also reflects her newly-gained confidence. If you behave like a queen, you’ve got to look like one, too, right?
