Ivanka Trump Made A Name For Herself As A Fashion Model

Today, Ivanka was a regular face in the initial months of the Trump administration, occupying a role on the transition committee. Being daughter to the president clearly offered some privileges. Starting March of 2017, Ivanka served in Trump’s administration as a personal adviser.

But before that, she is a mother of three and born to the President and Ivana Trump, former wife of Donald Trump. Ivanka is also a business person like her famous dad. She currently is the executive vice president of The Trump Organization.

Ivanka supported her father’s presidential bid and even introduced him at the 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC) in July. Earlier in 2016, she stated that she was on the fence about her political leanings:

Like many of my fellow millennials, I do not consider myself categorically Republican or Democrat.

She made her name as a highly-paid model

Before she gained public attention as a businesswoman or a political appointee, Ivanka had already made a name for herself as a fashion model. During the 90s, Ivanka traveled all over the world, modeling for luxury brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Thierry Mugler, and Viviene Westwood. Ivanka was also on the cover of Seventeen magazine.

At the time, there were only so many children of famous people who were choosing to model as a career. There were outspoken concerns about her ability to sustain the path long term, but Ivanka proved the doubters wrong.

She did later leave modeling to start her own business which has grown into a multi-faced brand over the years. Ivanka now manages a brand that designs and sells fashion accessories and clothing.

Despite the uproar about her visibility now, a lot of people actually knew Ivanka long before her father became president.

She may not model again, but Ivanka is still the poster child for magazine covers. Besides Seventeen, she has been featured on several other magazine covers, like Forbes Life, Town & Country, Golf Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vogue.
