How they first met.
Donald Jr. and Vanessa met at a fashion event in 2003. They were introduced to each other by Donald’s father, President Trump. Vanessa recalled that moment in her interview with The New York Times:
I remember Donald Trump comes up to me with his son: ‘Hi, I’m Donald Trump. I wanted to introduce you to my son Donald Trump Jr’.
A few weeks later, the pair met again at a birthday party, after which they began dating. In November 2004, Donald Jr. proposed to Vanessa with a 4-carat diamond engagement ring. One year later, the duo married at his dad’s estate in Palm Beach, Florida.
Marriage and kids
Donald and Vanessa welcomed their first child, wonderful daughter Kai, two years after they got married. Besides Kai, they are the proud parents of three sons Donald, Tristan, Spencer, and daughter Chloe.

Donald Jr. and Vanessa made the headlines by announcing their split after 12 years of marriage. In a joint statement, the ex-couple explained:
After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways. We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority.
