Last month, recently divorced Donald Trump Jr. finally came clean about his relationship with "Fox News" host Kimberly Guilfoyle. He shared a picture of himself and Guilfoyle on Instagram while they were out fishing in Montana.

The new lovebirds took their relationship up a notch when Trump Jr. introduced his girlfriend to his father on Independence Day. This is the first time the couple attended an official engagement together since they began dating. Judging from their posts on social media, it seems the introduction went quite well.

In a surprising turn of events, Guilfoyle announced she is leaving "Fox News", bringing to an end her anchoring spot on the popular afternoon panel show, “The Five”, which she held down since 2011. The 49-year-old has been with the network for the past 12 years and was one of the most vocal commentators on Republican politics.

Although there is no telling where she intends to pitch her tent, speculation is rife that she may be headed to the White House. President Trump considered her for the post of White House Press Secretary and has spoken highly of her in the past.

There are indications that current White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders will be exiting the White House by the end of 2018.

NY Times suggests that Guilfoyle may be taking up a position at America First, the political organization created by allies of President Donald Trump to provide support for his campaign efforts and that of other Republicans.

Some observers on Twitter feel like Guilfoyle’s exit from "Fox News" is just another attempt by President Trump to ramp up his White House machinery, while others suggest it is a step in the wrong direction.

Neither Guilfoyle nor Fox News was willing to provide any details as to why Guilfoyle was leaving, but as NY Times reports, some sources within the network familiar with the exit say Guilfoyle did not leave on the best of terms. She was notably absent on Friday’s broadcast of “The Five” and her co-hosts did not even mention her at all.
