"There Are Very Few Bits Of Me Left": Elton John Had To Learn To Walk Again After Prostate Cancer And A Severe Infection
Elton John’s children with partner David Furnish were born via the same surrogate in 2010 and 2013, respectively. The happiest couple has two sons, Zachary Jackson Levon and Elijah Joseph Daniel.
The British singer told The Sun he likes being a father, and his boys are "really boyish" who like to flirt with girls.
It’s fantastic being a dad. Ten years ago, if you’d have told me that, I’d have said you’re crazy.
Elton John’s cancer
Sir Elton John claimed there is hardly anything left of him after prostate cancer surgery and health scares. In 2017, the father-of-two had a severe infection following the surgery to treat the disease, forcing him to learn how to walk once again.
I literally had to learn to walk again. I was extremely sick. Luckily I survived it. Now I am fine. But there are very few bits of me left!
He went on:
Here is no hair, a pacemaker, there is no tonsils, there is no prostate, there is no appendix. I have had kidney stones. I am like the Bionic Woman. I am like Lyndsay Wagner or Steve Austin. Whichever one you want to call it.
The biggest fear John had at the time was he would never see his kids once again. Talking to Graham Norton in the BBC One program Elton John: Uncensored, the 72-year-old explained:
Don’t let me die, I want to see my children grow up.
