Before Prince William and Kate Middleton’s hosting the UK-Africa Investment Summit, the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex met some African leaders for necessary conversations, which are unknown for the public.

The royal brothers weren’t present together, but it was last engagement for Prince Harry before flying off to Canada to reunite with Meghan and Archie. It was also the first time for Prince William to host a significant state occasion solo.

Kate Middleton’s news

The Cambridge couple made a remarkable entrance at Buckingham Palace to greet African leaders and host a dinner ceremony, alongside Countess of Wessex and Prince Edward, on behalf of the Queen.

No doubt, Kate Middleton’s style fixed everybody’s eyes on her sequined red dress by Needle & Thread, accentuating her slim waist and featuring sheer sleeves and incredible pattern all over the midi number.

The mother-of-three styled her evening wear with a pair of matching heels, a red box clutch, and a pair of matching drop earrings. Her hairstyle and makeup ideally finished her memorable outlook for the UK-Africa Investment Summit.

Yesterday’s dress design reminded us of one of her red outfits in Canada several years ago. It was more revealing yet similarly elegant.

In fact, it’s no wonder Kate Middleton opted for such a dress color. It is believed red is one of her favorite colors, especially for some major events. Some other shades, i.e., burgundy, magenta, and wine, are also one of her favorite colors, especially in winter. Plus, it looks terrific on brunettes, don’t you think?

Having long hair as Kate Middleton’s is surely fantastic, but if you are a fan of short hairstyles, you’d definitely love Princess Diana’s do. What’s the secret behind her haircut?

Prince William’s speech

At the important event, the future King spoke out about a few memorable words concerning Africa and its role in William’s life. Here are the key points:

  • Prince Charles took William and Harry to Africa shortly after Princess Diana’s death.
  • Africa holds a special place for the royal brothers, and it’s one of their favorite places in the world.
  • William proposed to Catherine on a knee in Kenya in 2010.

Prince Harry also spoke about Africa back to his and Meghan’s royal tour in September-October. The country means a lot to him, as it was the only place to cope with pain and grief over Diana’s passing. He once said, "My heart belongs to Africa."

Now, it’s just Prince William and Kate Middleton as young ‘senior’ royals, serving for Her Majesty. It’s indeed hard times for the royal family, but the Cambridges did their best to provide an outstanding hosting for the UK and African leaders at the Palace. Let’s hope for the best for both brothers and their families and believe that everything happens for its own reason.
