January 27 marked one of the most horrifying periods in history — the Holocaust Memorial Day. People, including royal members, from all over the world gathered in their countries to pay tributes to those who have died and those who have survived.
Duchess Camilla of Cornwall joined other royals, namely Queen Letizia of Spain and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, in Poland, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. The 72-year-old looked poignant and matched her mood with the ‘saddening’ outfit.

Duchess Camilla Parker Bowles was seen in an all-black number, consisting of a dark coat and a matching fluffy hat. She was sitting among other people marking the anniversary and honoring those who were lucky and strong enough to get through Adolf Hitler’s despotism.

After the ceremony, Duchess Camilla was talking to some people, listening to their stories, and sharing some of her feelings regarding the historical events. She was very kind, decent, beautiful, and lively. People instantly praised Prince Charles’ wife on social media

Remembering the Holocaust
On the same day, Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the same Memorial Day in London. The royal couple looked very emotional and empathetic during the ceremony, having conversations with the survivors.
During the occasion, the future King made a heartbreaking speech, commemorating his great-grandmother, Prince Philip’s mother. He read a letter written by Princess Alice’s friend, who hid the Cohen family in her Athen’ home after the Nazis’ invasion.
The great-granddaughter of Rachel Cohen, Evy Cohen, said this two years ago: ‘My family would not exist without the courageous act of Princess Alice. Her story of incredible courage must keep being told in her memory. My generation, the past generation, and the future generation are, and will eternally be, grateful to his great-grandmother Princess Alice for the great act of bravery, risking her own life to take in a family in need.’
