Rita Moreno now

In an interview with People in 2019, Rita Moreno explained why she never remarried again after her husband’s demise.

The star replied:

I would rather eat glass. I don’t want to get married.

Moreno explained her position simply: she had to pretend being happy in her first marriage and she doesn’t want to do this again with a new husband.

Rita Moreno is, indeed, a very strong woman. She pretended to live in a happy marriage for 48 years for the sake of her daughter. On the other hand, maybe Rita shouldn’t wait for so long to get freedom and live the way she wanted to?! Actually, multiple women around the globe experience a similar situation in their own marriages.

So, what’s better – to play the role of a silent wife or to enjoy your freedom as a single woman? We really want to hear your thoughts on this matter.
