One of the biggest experts in the field analyzed the Duchess’ behavior and gave her verdict.
Body language of Meghan Markle and its meaning
Body language expert Judi James looked through photos and videos of the Duchess of Sussex’s recent appearance at the 2019 One Young World summit and here’s what she thinks about it.
Meghan Markle’s body language, according to the expert, looked very protective as the Duchess showed ‘barrier gestures’ and used her long wavy hair as ‘curtains’ to hide her face from everyone.

Appearing without Prince Harry, Meghan shined a confident smile and looked genially excited but there were “cues” which hinted she felt vulnerable at the event.

Judi James commented:
Meghan had been wearing her hair pinned away from her face on much of the Africa tour, but here she has it curling softly around her face, not just to frame it but at times to act as curtains that provide a cut-off, concealing parts of her face in turn including, at some moments, her eyes.
The Duchess also displayed a new gesture to shield herself:
She also appears to be holding her left hand raised higher than usual in what looks like a partial barrier gesture, with her engagement and wedding rings displayed to illustrate what she referred to as her strength and security in her life.
Previously, it was reported that Meghan and Harry will take 6 weeks off from their royal duties from mid-November to spend some quality time as a family. It looks like it is something they really need at the moment.
