But one of her recent endeavors could have had a very tragic ending.

Kayaking in Sweden

During her visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Garner shared with a host a scary story she and her daughter were involved in. Last month, the actress and her eldest child, 12-year-old Violet, traveled to Stockholm, Sweden to explore the city and learn about the culture.

While walking around Stockholm, the mother-daughter duo noticed tourists kayaking in a river and thought it would be a fun adventure to rent a boat. But little did they know that danger was waiting for them.

When what supposed to be a 10-minute journey turned into an hour of paddling, the two realized that something was wrong. Garner recalled she started seeing bridges and big boats and then her daughter noticed a stoplight in the water. After that, they started feeling a current pulling them to the ocean.

Luckily, the two were saved by a handsome man named Mattias, whom the actress said she will never forget. Jennifer took to Instagram to share her story.

She captioned the photo with:

On a pre-middle-school sneak away with my eldest…Did I get us lost in a kayak? Yes. Did we paddle as hard as we could for 100 hours and end up in a shipping lane? I’m afraid so. Did we have to be rescued? Yup.
