Tom Bradby interviewed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey. Here, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about the difficulty she has been experiencing over being a wife, mother and a working royal.

She confessed that she isn’t okay and has been struggling in some areas.

Meghan Markle documentary backlash

The UK Sun spoke to some parents and kids regarding their feelings about Meghan’s revelations in the interview. 38-year-old Bibi Tanya did not hold back in saying that the Duchess didn’t deserve to complain.

The UK blogger said:

It’s the ‘poor me’ attitude that I just think is absurd. What was the quote? ‘We’re existing but not living’? Are you f*****g joking me?

Tanya went on to say that there are people with real struggles who basically exist on a day-to-day basis without actually living. Hence, Meghan doesn’t get to compare herself to them considering her jet-setting ways and luxury lifestyle.

That’s not living, that’s living in style. Her line ‘thank you so much for asking’ – it’s pathetic!

She accused the Duchess of acting to garner pity and said that she could stand to learn a thing or two from Kate Middleton who never complains but handles everything "with such aplomb."

Journalist Jim Maloney also pointed out that Meghan and Harry should expect some public scrutiny and try to get used to it. And Anthony Burr believes the Sussexes should learn how to strike a balance between what they share and what they keep private.

On the flip side, 21-year-old Ellie Baldwin told the publication that it didn’t feel right for Meghan to go through so much stress and pressure. "They are people too," she said.

15-year-old Sebastian Haywood is also on Meghan and Harry’s side saying the couple deserves to be happy.

Tanya on GMB

This isn’t the first time Bibi Tanya has expressed controversial views.

In 2018, she faced some backlash after she appearing on Good Morning Britain and revealing that she does not vaccinate her children.

When it comes to the Sussexes’ situation, everyone has a right to their opinion. But regardless of personal feelings, it doesn’t cost much to be kind.

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton aren’t the same so they may handle challenges differently. Offering a helping hand and a word of kindness are better options than telling people to never complain and insisting they bottle things up.
