Unexpected Confession: British Journalist Accused Charles And Camilla Of Plotting Against Princess Diana
When relations between spouses aren’t looking prosperous, both are usually to blame. However, people tend to support one side of the conflict. This is what happened to the unhappy marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. His relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles didn’t seem to end. Shortly before his wedding and after Camilla’s own, he took her on a trip and gave gifts. By the way, Diana was also playing it tricky: she reportedly knew how to conquer Charles.

Nevertheless, many fans of the royal family considered her as a victim of the failed relationship. Famous British journalist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown is also among them.

The Internet community has recently been shocked by her point of view about the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. During the Jeremy Vine On 5 show, she announced that their wedding was part of a conspiracy created by Charles and Camilla. According to Alibhai-Brown, they lured inexperienced Diana into this union just to provide Charles with legal and worthy successors in order to ascend to the British throne.

This marriage could have been an excellent cover to continue the concealed relationship. As it turned out later, it actually happened, although the Prince didn’t maintain a romantic relationship with Camilla for several years after the wedding with Diana.

Yasmin has been strongly defending Diana’s interests after the Princess’ parting.
For me, she was a young child. It was the worst kind of arranged marriage imaginable. Apparently, Camilla approved of Diana.

Alibhai-Brown is one of the leading British opinion shapers. She has been working in journalism since the early 80s and has earned great respect by more than one generation. Her publications often appeared in The Guardian, The Observer, The New York Times, The Independent, Time, Newsweek and The Daily Mail. Yasmin worked on television and received several prestigious awards in journalism. Therefore, her statement may turn out to be a bolt from the blue, especially for those who still grieve the departed Princess.

Many are probably wondering why Charles didn’t marry Camilla even before she married Andrew Parker-Bowles? Biographer Sally Bedell Smith, in her book Prince Charles: The Passions and Paradoxes of Improbable Life, devoted a lot of attention to this question. With Camilla, they were almost of the same age. Their interests and views were likely very similar, not as much as with 13-years-younger Diana. The Prince’s only love didn’t worship him. She treated him as an equal but wasn’t considered the same for two reasons: the girl was “experienced” in relations with men and didn’t have a solid aristocratic origin. Nevertheless, only Camilla made Charles truly happy.
