They Met At The Bar! Judge Marilyn Milian Is Very Proud Of Her 26-Year Marriage With Judge John Schlesinger
Marilyn Milian is worldwide known as an American television personality, lecturer, and retired Florida Circuit Court judge. Did you know she is the first Hispanic arbitrator to preside over a court show?
Alongside her husband, she lives in Coral Gables, Florida, raising their three daughters: Cristina, Alexandra, and Sofia Elena.
Judge Marilyn Milian’s husband
Marilyn Milian married John Schlesinger in 1993. He is a former assistant United States attorney, who was elected to the 11th Judicial Circuit Court for Miami-Dade County, Fl. in 2004.
On The People’s Court’s Off-Air, Marilyn Milian dished on her husband of 26 years. She revealed they encountered each other in a local bar decades ago. In fact, there was a guy standing between now-partners, and the judge ‘kicked’ him and said quietly, "Introduce me to your friend."
When Marilyn was concerned about their fast course of romance, John Schlesinger calmly told her not to rush things up and see "where it goes." He also told her:
The journey of a thousand miles begins with just one step.
Only a year and a few months later, the smitten man popped up a question, telling how much he loved her, and pulling not a box with a ring, but just a ring from his pocket. How sweet of him!
