Ivanka Trump attended the closing ceremony at the 2018 Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, as a representative of her father’s administration, but not everyone in attendance was thrilled to see the daughter of President Donald Trump at the ceremony.

One such person was British-born U.S. skier Gus Kenworthy, who took to Twitter to share his pride in being part of this year’s games while wondering what Ivanka was even doing there.

Kenworthy and figure skater Adam Rippon are the first openly gay Olympians in the U.S., and both criticized Vice President Mike Pence for his anti-LGBTQ views and for being the head of the U.S. delegation for the opening ceremony.

Adam Rippon was also blasted by Donald Trump Jr. for his opinions, so when Ivanka Trump attended the Olympics 2018 closing ceremony, they had just one question to ask.

However, there was no shortage of Twitter users who slammed Kenworthy for his comments, with some pointing out they’re not representative of the spirit of the Winter Games.

Why did Ivanka attend again?

The elder daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump is watching the closing ceremony in the same box as South Korean President Moon Jae-In and top North Korean official Kim Yong Chol. She has said the purpose of her visit is to advocate maximum pressure on North Korea to halt its nuclear program.

Kenworthy earlier made headlines when he shared a televised kiss with his boyfriend after his Olympic run.
