So Sweet! Prince Harry Lovingly Held Meghan’s Hand The Way His Mom, Princess Diana, Used To Hold His
Because of the protocol, members of the British royal family have never been ones known to be affectionate in public. However, this is changing thanks to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who day-by-day defy the rules and put aside the strict protocol.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shower each other with gestures of love and care in every public appearance, and many attribute Harry’s loving nature to the way he was raised. To be more specific, the way his mother, late Princess Diana, treated him when he was a child.
The prospective parents visited Melbourne some time ago as part of their visit to Australia. There is a video that has already gone viral on the internet showing Harry holding Meghan’s hand behind his back with his both hands.
The tender gesture was captured by local radio station FoxFM and user @amandalunnbutler noticed that Lady Di used to hold Harry the exact same way when he was a child.
Diana was always more affectionate with her youngest son to compensate for all the attention William was getting for being the heir to the throne. This was confirmed by Richard Kay, a close friend of the late princess, in an interview with Daily Mail:
Diana would often talk to Lucia and other friends of her ‘precious boys’ — but particularly of Harry. She adored them both but William, destined to be King, was marked from birth for special attention.

Kay remembers that the princess was concerned about the preferential treatment William received. In fact, Harry constantly complained about not getting as much attention as his older brother when they visited their great-grandmother, the mother of Queen Elizabeth II. According to him, Diana came to confront her only to be told that William was the heir to the British throne and that was the way it was going to be.
As for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, they have rarely been affectionate to each other in public, something that definitely contrasts with the behavior of Harry and Meghan.
