Singer/songwriter Pink has been named second most-played female artist in the United Kingdom (she didn’t beat Madonna) in the 2000s. In addition, she was awarded by Billboard as Pop Songs Artist of the Decade for 2009, and the Woman of the Year in 2013.

Also, she has bagged three Grammy Awards, a Brit Award, a Daytime Emmy Award, and seven MTV Video Music Awards.

This Christmas, Pink, like millions of other people around the world, has a lot to celebrate. But this story is not all about the singer. It’s actually about her pretty daughter, Willow (6).

Mom forgot about Chippy

Following Christmas traditions, Pink would decorate the family house with little elves. Popularly called the Elf on the Shelf, these little helpers are said to spy on kids so they can tell Santa who is nice or naughty.

Normally, Pink would move them around a bit, but this year, she seemed to have a lot on her plate, so she didn’t. And that got little Willow worried about her elf, Chippy. The cute girl decided to write to Santa. She said:

Dear Santa, I am worried about Chippy. He has been in the same spot for 3 days now. I don’t know why. (translated)

Translation: MOM FAIL “santa, I am worried about Chippy, he has been in the same spot for 3 days. I don’t know why.” #elfonthesamedamnshelf

Pink shared the cute note on her Instagram and thought it was hilarious. Clearly, Willow was only concerned about the lonely elf, probably thinking something was wrong with him. Or maybe Santa was not too happy with her, so Chippy took some extra time to spy on her.

In the end, Pink did promise to make sure he got moved around for the rest of the holiday.

And the fans said

A couple of followers lent their hilarious excuses Pink could use for not moving little old Chippy. One grandma, @gem_steph, offered this hilarious excuse the singer could use:

Say he broke his foot and put a cast on him lol… that’s my plan if we ever get one for my grandson… I know I will have a #grandmafail

Another fan, @mamabearslife, chipped in:

@pink a friend told her daughter when this happened earlier in the month that sometimes if you have been really good and the elf is really comfortable in his/her spot. They don’t move.

Even little Jameson Moon must have found the whole incident funny. In this photo, Willow poses under the Christmas tree with her baby brother who turns one this week.

Pink did feel bad about it, but we are sure she is going to make up for it in time with loads of presents for the cute kids. Surely, Santa won’t be upset much, and everyone is going to still have fun.
