After making a decision to marry Prince Harry, Megan left the project and announced her intention to retire from the movies. However, recently the duchess was submitted for Emmy consideration, where the fans vote determine the nominees in each category.

On the one hand, there is nothing strange about this. The nominees are chosen way before the actual ceremony. And considering that Meghan hasn’t won any prestigious award yet, the victory could’ve been a lifetime achievement for her. This ceremony celebrates all achievements in music, cinema, sports, television, and fashion.

Although the retirement was a deliberate decision of the prince’s wife, her fans were worried about one thing: if she decided to go to the ceremony, would it be considered a violation of the royal protocol? In fact, such rule simply cannot exist, since Markle is the first member of the British royal family to be submitted for Emmys consideration. Perhaps, Elizabeth II would not support her desire to dive again into the world of cinema, but maybe things would turn the opposite, as Her Majesty has repeatedly broken her own rules for the sake of the new daughter-in-law.
