Kimberly Guilfoyle Opens Up About Heartbreaking Childhood And What Made Her An Achiever In Life
Since Kimberly Guilfoyle started dating Donald Trump Jr., she has made quite a few headlines. Earlier this summer, she shocked her fans when announced she had parted ways with Fox News where she had been working for more than ten years!
Instead, the 49-year-old decided to join America First Action as its vice chairwoman to support her boyfriend’s father. But what else do we know about the former host’s earlier life?
Turns out, she had a heartbreaking childhood
Today I have a bitter-sweet announcement. I’ve decided to leave Fox News Channel and dedicate myself full time to joining America First as Vice Chairwoman, campaigning across the country and firmly standing with President Trump. (Part 1 of 2)

When Kimberly was just 11 years old, she lost her mother to a long battle with leukemia. The little girl immediately took some very adult responsibilities. She helped raise her younger brother Anthony, kept house, and cooked for the family. Of course, this all prepared her for life as an adult:
Even though no child should have to go through the pain of losing a parent at such a young age, it made the bond with my brother, Anthony, all that much stronger.

Her doting mom, who worked as a special education teacher, was Kimberly’s role model. She showed how important it was to be an independent and strong woman as well as help others. She was also an avid volunteer, which inspired Kimberly to support charitable causes too.
As brother Anthony Guilfoyle says:
Our mother made the most of her time with me and Kimberly. She filled our home with music, dance, crafts, wonderful meals, and the best birthday and holiday celebrations.
Of course, there was another great inspiration for the former host – her dad. During that incredibly difficult time, he instilled faith and resiliency in his daughter. Sadly, he also passed away in 2008:
My dad taught me to be fearless, to live life with no regrets, and to fully realize the importance of giving back when you have been blessed with so much.
Besides, it was Kimberly’s father who inspired his daughter to be interested in politics:
He was known as the “Godfather” in many political circles since he was always looking out for others and was for the people. That’s something I believe has stuck with me throughout my entire life, in many different aspects of it.
We hope that Guilfoyle will fulfil herself in politics just like she did on TV.
