Family life and untimely passing
The famous musician and his first wife, Anne Martell, were married from 1967 till 1982. The couple adopted two children: a boy, Zachary John, and a girl, Anna Kate. Denver’s second marriage gave him his second daughter, Jesse Belle.
In 1997, John Denver died in an airplane crash. He was piloting his own light plane and couldn’t handle the controls. Denver was the only person aboard the aircraft.
