There are all kinds of shamers on the internet. And these days, no matter what you do, some people will have something rude and negative to say. This is probably truer for celebs since they are constantly in the spotlight.
While some choose to let it go, others stand up for themselves and fight these online trolls. Pink has got to be the latter as she often has a strong and powerful response to those who are mean just to be mean.
Pink doesn’t suffer trolls
One recent example was when she performed the National Anthem during the last Super Bowl. While most people hailed her for doing such a good job, there was a social media commenter who decided to point out that she did terribly.
The Twitter user said:
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1000 times. Pink s***s and if you like her singing you’re dumb.
Pink later responded saying;
Yeah, but at least I s**k while singing our countries national anthem, and you just s**k by yourself on a dirty couch.
When someone tried to come for her about her looks
A 12-year-old girl recently got the chance to perform in front of Pink after a social media campaign. The talented Victoria Anthony ended up wowing both the singer and the crowd.
However, not everyone saw the beauty in the video. One social media user tweeted:
Wow, Pink looks so old that should be named Purple instead.
Barely an hour later, the 38-year-old singer shared the mean tweet with her followers and added a strong response.
Well, there are a few people left in the world that choose to age naturally. And I’ve earned every f**king minute of my 38 years. How you lookin though? Cause I never heard of ya til you put my name in your mouth. I shall call you little purple troll.
She went on to share an inspiring message about aging with grace.
A supportive fan then posted "can’t wait to see you when you’re 80," to which Pink replied sharing what she might name that particular tour.
Reese Witherspoon had her back
Actress Reese Witherspoon agreed with Pink’s message. She shared a tweet stating that "we’re supposed to grow old." Then she pointed out the importance of always staying grateful.
These women certainly had important messages to share. Instead of fighting so hard against aging, we’ll lead a more satisfying life if we just choose to embrace and celebrate it.
