Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, celebrated their 22nd anniversary this year. The 50-year-old X-Men star and his 62-year-old wife still love each other as strong as when they just started dating. For Hollywood celebrities, it is a very rare to stay together and preserve romantic relations for such a long time.
Hugh Jackman recently delivered an extremely heartfelt tribute to Deborra during the Santa Barbara Film Festival. He said that Deborra-Lee Furness was the one who always loved and supported him no matter what:
You believed in me when I couldn’t. You’ve loved me with a passion and a depth that I didn’t even know existed — and I don’t think I felt that I deserved. You have pushed and encouraged me when I was scared to venture out. You have smiled me into smiling. You have sung me into singing. Previously, the sweet couple has revealed the secret to their long-lasting marriage. During an interview with Today, Hugh Jackman said that the most important thing is to find the right person with whom you can feel comfortable:
You have got to find the right person. It’s powerful, but simple. When you’re dating, you literally put on the best version of yourself. When you get on the dance floor, you’re like, all right, I am pulling out my best moves here, I am doing my best lines, I have got my best clothes on. How do you transition from that person to actually truly being yourself? The tracksuit pant version of yourself.
Nevertheless, it is not an easy task, and sometimes it may take some time. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were really lucky to meet each other one day!
