Gwyneth and her ex-husband Chris Martin share two children Apple (born 2004) and Moses who arrived two years later.
In an interview with Good Housekeeping, Gwyneth revealed that even though she was a picture of happiness with the arrival of her children, she had some private struggles.
The mom revealed that she suffered postpartum depression after the birth of her son Moses. She said;
I felt like a zombie. I couldn’t access my heart. I couldn’t access my emotions. I couldn’t connect.

On August 23, the Iron Man star shared a throwback photo of herself on Instagram that had fans doing a double-take.
The photo was actually of the actress but based on the comments that followed, people were almost convinced it was actually a snap of her 15-year-old daughter Apple.
Gwyneth’s picture showed her lounging comfortably on a beach and she captioned it with the words;
I’ve always been a summer girl.
