Another case of sexual assault has been made public over this week. A popular French actor, Gérard Depardieu, is accused of rape by a young actress.

Gérard Depardieu is under fire
69-year-old Gérard Depardieu has been accused of sexual assault by a 22-year-old French actress, whose identity hasn’t been revealed to the public.
The unnamed actress made a statement to a Lambesc police department, claiming she was raped by Depardieu earlier this month in his Paris residence, BBC reported.
In his turn, the actor denies any claims against him. Depardieu’s lawyer told AFP News:
I regret the public nature of this process, which poses a major prejudice to Gerard Depardieu, whose innocence I am convinced will be recognized.
