According to the book ‘Finding Zsa Zsa: The Gabors Behind the Legend’ by Sam Staggs, Zsa love life was more troubled than was projected by the media, especially her marriage to Conrad Hilton.

The actress’s first marriage to Burhan Asaf Belge lasted for six years before they divorced. However, the crux of all her marriages was the second, which was to hotel magnate, Conrad Hilton. Zsa Zsa and Conrad married in 1942, and she was 30 years his junior.

According to Staggs, Conrad didn’t think it was right to marry the Hungarian actress, but he went against his better judgment nevertheless.

Even though they were married, the duo never shared a bedroom. He always kept her on a budget to satisfy her spending sprees.

Although most people believed she loved Conrad for his money, the book explains that Zsa Zsa took solace in the hotel magnate because he loved nothing else apart from his religion and hotels.

Unfortunately, they divorced after five years together. It was after their split that she gave birth to their daughter, Francesca, and things got worse. Zsa Zsa claimed that she was raped, but Conrad denied all allegations.
