Geoffrey Hayes, the eminent TV presenter who hosted the iconic children’s show Rainbow, died at the age of 76.

RIP, Geoffrey Hayes!

A talented and successful TV presenter, Geoffrey Hayes, has died on September 30 in a hospital surrounded by his family.

Hayes’ manager, Phil Dale, made a sad announcement:

Dale added that the grieving family expressed their gratitude to all fans for their support and prayers amid this hard period.

Geoffrey was best-known for his work in the children’s show Rainbow featuring the colorful characters named Zippy, Bungle, and George.

Hayes presented the programme from 1973 to 1992. The show ran for more than 1,000 episodes.

Memories from childhood are the most precious for all of us. Geoffrey Hayes and his show were making kids happy for almost two decades. So sad, he’s gone. Rest in peace, dear Geoffrey!
