Elton John Praises Prince Harry For His Great Morals, Which He Inherited From Princess Diana, As Singer Believes
Princess Diana and Elton John were rather good friends. The story of their friendship started back in 1981, when they met at Prince Andrew’s birthday party at Windsor Castle. At that day, they danced alone for 20 minutes.
Elton John believes Prince Harry inherited good morals from his mother.
During his lecture on HIV, he was answering questions about how to handle countries in the Commonwealth who have conservative views on AIDS:
I think Prince Charles, when he is made head of the Commonwealth, is a good man and has great morals. Prince Harry, too, has great morals and wants to change the landscape. They have greater clout than I do and I think in their hearts they want to make those kinds of changes.
A little later, he praised Harry for having great morals:
Harry has inherited his mother’s ability to walk into a room and make people, of any caste or any status in life, feel equal. That is an incredible gift. I’ve been around for 71 years and Princesses Diana was one of the few people in my life who could do that.
The singer reportedly spent time with Prince Harry last summer, and they took a trip to Italy together. There, the musician learned about Harry’s relations with his bride-to-be.
While on the Lorraine show, Elton John said:
I spent some time with him in Sicily last summer and I could tell he was totally in love. He didn’t discuss it much, but he said ‘I’m in love’.
Prince Harry was so lucky to have such a great mother!
