We all are used to brushing our hair every day, but not everybody knows how to clean their brush properly. Its bristles are great for detangling hair, but it also traps quite a big amount of filth. Sometimes it is possible to get the hair out, but the dirt on the bristles is a major issue that makes the hair look dirty and not shiny.

It turns out it is not a problem at all as there is a tool that can make your hairbrush look like a brand new one – a toothbrush. Sounds weird, right? But it is the most effective way to get all the filth out of the brush. And it doesn’t take much time and effort to accomplish the task.

In her blog, Anitha Mallya wrote a detailed step-by-step description of the process.

At first, it is necessary to get all the hair strands out of the bristles. You can do it either with your hands or by using scissors or tweezers. Then, take a bowl and put some shampoo or a dishwashing detergent inside.

After you are done with this part, scrub the hairbrush for around five minutes with the toothbrush. It might be a good idea to leave it in a bowl for 10 minutes. At the final part, just take the brush out, rinse with the running water and let it dry. The result will surprise you!
