Difficult Times: Meghan Markle Opens Up Why Her 20s Were "Brutal" And A "Constant Battle"
After becoming Prince Harry’s fiancé, Meghan Markle had to say goodbye to many things in her life that she, perhaps, took for granted in the past. Being a royal requires following a strict set of rules and even though Meghan is known to break some of them, there is one that she had to follow.

The Duchess had to leave her virtual life in the past, deleting all of her social media accounts, as well as her own blog The Tig. However, nothing really disappears from the internet forever.

Some of the old posts from her blog are still can be found on the web. Recently, one of them resurfaced online and gave a little glimpse into Meghan’s past.
Hard years
The Duchess of Sussex laid bare the struggles that she faced in her 20s. According to Express, the former actress marked her 33rd birthday with a post on her now-closed blog The Tig, where she recalled the hardships she went through as a young woman and her pursuit of happiness.

Markle admitted that she had learned throughout her “brutal” 20s that it “takes time” to be happy. She wrote:
I am 33 years old today. And I am happy. And I say that so plainly because, well… it takes time. To be happy. To figure out how to be kind to yourself. To not just choose that happiness, but to feel it.

She talked about the time she battled with her self-image, trying to be just like everyone else.
My 20s were brutal – a constant battle with myself, judging my weight, my style, my desire to be as cool/as hip/as smart/as ‘whatever’ as everyone else.

In conclusion, Meghan shared that she finally understood that she is “enough” and urged her readers to find their own happiness. There had been a lot of gold like that on The Tig and many of us feel a bit sad that the Duchess is not writing for it anymore.

At the end of last year, the hope was born in the hearts of many Markle’s loyal followers when her Instagram account suddenly re-activated but it was just a “system glitch.”

Interestingly, Prince Harry used to have a secret Facebook account. He didn’t share any words of wisdom there but he actively posted photos from his adventures. So, who knows, maybe the royal couple is still secretly online, but the world has no idea about it.
