But how to make the best of the most exciting and cheerful winter’s holiday?
- First of all, spread the cheer. Don’t put on a grumpy face when you hear Christmas songs, instead, smile and whistle along.
- Indulge in your country’s tradition or try a new one. Find out how Christmas is celebrated in your country or around the world and add some magic with new or old customs.
- Decorate. There is nothing more uplifting than waking up to a nicely decorated room, which screams celebration. You don’t have to put a Christmas tree if you don’t want to but jazz up your home to make it more festive.

What else you can do to put yourself in the Christmas mood? Watch a festive film, of course! But how about taking it to another level and watching it in the Duke and Duchess’ of Sussex home?
Movie night at the Palace
Kensington Palace is inviting everyone to share the Christmas spirit with royals by watching the best Christmas classics at Luna Cinema inside the Pavilion. From December 17-22 the pop-up cinema will be showing a range of festive movies at the home of our favorite royal couples, the Sussexes and the Cambridges.

The line-up is pretty great and includes most people’s favorites, like Home Alone, The Holiday, Elf, and Love Actually. The cinema will be also showing The Greatest Showman, which is not technically a Christmas movie, but we are not complaining as it is a fantastic film.

The snackers will be happy to know that the cinema will also be serving mulled wine, mince pies, and hot chocolate because it’s a crime to watch a film without a tasty snack.
How do royals spend Christmas?
The royal family has its own Christmas traditions. They usually have a festive gathering in their country house in Norfolk where they, of course, have some tea with delicious sweets, like dark chocolate with mint, which is the Queen’s favorite treat.

In the morning of the Christmas day, Her Majesty always goes to church and gives donations. The royals also exchange presents, just like everyone else.

We wonder if the new member of the family, Meghan Markle, has brought some tradition of her own to the table but we are certain that she enjoyed the festivities in the British way too.
