SJP reached out to Kim Cattrall after the death of her brother. In a post to her former co-star, her message read:
Dearest Kim, my love and condolences to you and yours and Godspeed to your beloved brother. Xx
Kim must have been distraught because her reply shocked a lot of fans of the show. She shared a photo on Instagram asking SJP to back off.
Her caption was blunt and straight to the point.
Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.
She also mentioned that her mother was sick and tired of SJP’s patronizing attitude online.

According to Boshoff, many reasons tore the two stars apart, ranging from pay to privileges to recognition. The most prominent reason was the obvious one: Which actress is the more significant star?
As two alpha personalities, Kim Cattrall didn’t appreciate SJP’s perks during production. But it was more than just the money because when Sarah Jessica Parker became an executive producer, sources say she became bossy, which grated on Kim’s nerves.

Kim announced the death of her brother almost 24 hours after he was reported missing. Authorities did not provide a cause of death, but it was confirmed that it wasn’t a suspicious one.
