A woman from New Jersey, United States, came to rescue of a 1-year-old pitbull that was about to drown in a wire crate. The heroine’s name is Jenniffer Vaz, a sweet resident of the city who started her day by walking her pet dog Molly in Sandy Hook Bay. 

Jennifer decided to leave that day a little earlier than usual with her dog and revel the dawn of New Jersey. However, mid-walk she heard some strange moans coming from the shore, particularly, the bulkhead. Here’s how she described it:

Without hesitation, the fearless woman scaled the wall in order to save the frightened pooch, but she did not do it alone; Molly followed her and helped her throughout the process. The heroic little dog also followed her human and got into River’s cage, gave him a lick and both of them showed their support in this way.

Authorities reported that the trap was placed on a tiny area of land between the bulkhead and the water. For that reason, Jennifer made a decision to contact the Highlands Police Department, which then passed the case to Animal Control. The moment the rescue team reached the location a few hours later, the crate was almost fully immersed in water as a result of the rising tide.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office publicized on Facebook that they had already begun the search for the individual responsible for abandoning River in the wire cage on the shores of Veterans Memorial Park.
