When The Best Time Is To Have Another Baby, Say Researchers
Quite recently, researchers have studied a group of over 1.7 million mothers and found out when it’s best to have a second or third baby.

Their research has shown that the time interval between the birth of one child and the next one has a significant impact both on the mental and physical health of a mother. Interestingly, both an overly long and overly short time period can cause that.

By a short time interval we mean a period that lasts less than 18 months, and by long interval, up to 60 months.
30% of the mothers taking the poll resolved to get pregnant again within 18 months after giving birth. The researchers have concluded that such an interval may cause certain complications, including premature labour and weight deficiency in babies.

Apart from that, short intervals may increase the risk of maternal mortality and maternal hypertensive disorders, including hemorrhaging and anemia.

According to the World Health Organization, a preferable time period between pregnancies that is safe for baby’s and mother’s health is a minimum of 24 months and a maximum of 5 years.

However, it doesn’t mean that you mustn’t under any circumstance have babies sooner or later than these time limits. The most important is to figure out whether you’re emotionally and physically prepared for this, and go for medical check-ups regularly.
