Schoolboy With Heart Of Gold Gained 30 Lbs To Save His Father's Life
Being a donor is a very noble mission and great responsibility at the same time, because a person’s life is at stake. But in order to help another person, the donor needs to match certain parameters as their body will invariably be affected. They also need to know what to expect after donating the organ and how they will be recovering.

Each country has its own conditions for becoming a donor. For instance, in the USA, such a person shouldn’t be younger than 18 years old, while in China, you can’t be a donor if you weigh less than 99 lbs. This is the target of 11-year-old Lu Zikuan as he wants to become a donor for his father, who needs a bone marrow transplant.
The boy’s father has a rare disease, myelodysplastic syndrome, also known as "pre-leukemia," which refers to the group of blood disorders. The man was diagnosed with his condition 7 years ago and he has been taking medicine all these years, but the doctors insist on a bone marrow transplant.
His elder son, Lu, can become a donor. But he is underweight according to the rules in China. Then the boy decided to gain the lacking pounds as his weight was 66 lbs.
He started eating intensively, even if he had to force himself. Over two months he gained 30 lbs and plans to continue to reach the needed weight for sure.
