Who is Mads Mikkelsen’s wife?
Mikkelsen might play charming villains in movies, but in real life he’s a hopeless romantic. The Danish actor met his future wife Hanne Jacobsen in 1986. Back then, Mads was a dancer in Copenhagen and Hanne was his choreographer.

At first, they kept things strictly professional, but neither of them could resist the chemistry. In 1987, Mads took matters into his own hands and asked Hanne for dinner. It actually took them several dates to realize who they can be together.

The romance of their lifetime had begun, but Mads and Hanne weren’t rushing to get married.
They also have two kids. Five years after the lovebirds got together, Jacobsen gave birth to their first child, daughter Viola, born in 1992. They didn’t stop at one kid and also had son Carl, born in 1997.

And after 13 years of dating and two children, Mikkelsen finally proposed to his beloved and they got married in December of 2000.
Mads and Hanne never got way into glamorous lifestyle and remain true to themselves, just being happy together. The couple moved from Denmark to Canada in the 2010s, when Mikkelsen started filming Hannibal.
