Harry Styles rose to stardom as one of the members of the boy band, One Direction. His musical journey started when he went by himself to audition for the singing contest ‘The X Factor‘. He was eventually grouped with four other contestants to form the One Direction band.

Since the end of that particular season of the show, One Direction went on to achieve worldwide fame and also won several awards. The band eventually decided to separate in January 2016. However, this did not dim Style’s star power as he continued making music and building his fan base.

In a recent interview with ET, the singer revealed the one star that has influenced both his music and his style is Shania Twain. This was a little surprising. One would probably assume that male superstars like Elton John or David Bowie would have more of an influence on Styles’ music. But apparently, we would be wrong. He told ET:

The thing is, when you take a closer look at Styles’ fashion sense, you can kind of see what he meant. He has been known to rock cheetah-print and black boots, a look reminiscent of the iconic Shania.

When it comes to country music, this beautiful singer takes the lead. Twain has sold over 100 million records making her the best-selling female artist in this musical genre. In fact, she is so successful, she has held some amazing titles including the "Queen of Country Pop."
