You need good soil to regrow your cut flower. It should be airy and moisture-retentive. It is better to choose half sand and half peat moss, or you can use half perlite and half peat moss. Remember that you should use only a new mix, don’t add any used soil to avoid diseases. Fill a pot with a few inches of the soil mix.

2. Prepare the cutting

Prepare the stem of your flower and push the cutting an inch into the soil. Firm the soil around the stem. Place the pot in a warm place where it will get enough light. Avoid direct sun as it can be harmful to your future houseplant.

3. Aftercare

Water regularly when the soil becomes dry. After several weeks, gently pull on the stem to see if it has roots. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see the roots. Not all cuttings are successful. If it has roots, you can repot it as soon as new leaves start to appear on the top.
