Annual Gallup Poll Shows That Barack Obama And Hillary Clinton Are Still The Most Admired People In The USA
Gallup poll results are out, and it isn’t the current President Donald Trump who took the title of the most admired man in the US. And nothing has changed in the women’s category as it is the 16th consecutive title for Hillary Clinton.
Gallup poll
Gallup poll has been done since 1946, with the same goal of finding out the most prominent person in American society. This year, the survey was done on a total of 1049 adults via the telephone. People were randomly selected, and the results are quite interesting.
The Results
The winner of the most admired man for 2017 is the former president Barack Obama. With 17% of the votes, Obama has won his 10th consecutive first place.

Donald Trump came in second with 14%, and this is only the eighth time that the current president didn’t take the lead. There is no official statement from President Trump, but we can imagine what it will be like.

We should add that Rev. Billy Graham is among the top 10 for the unbelievable 61st time. Also, this year marks the first time in 25 years that Bill Clinton is not among the first 10.

When it comes to the ladies, Hillary seems to be unaffected, despite losing the presidential election at the end of last year. This is her 22nd first place, and that’s a record for both men and women. However, this year was her win with the least amount of margin, as she had only 2% more than Michelle Obama.

There are some familiar and longlasting names on the ladies list as well. It is the 49th time being in the top 10 for Queen Elizabeth and the 30th for Oprah Winfrey. Interestingly enough, neither of these ladies have ever won this poll.

It will be interesting to see whether the results spur a change in the public image of Donald Trump. Furthermore, with the decline of Hillary’s popularity, we might finally see a change in the women’s category. Who knows, maybe it is going to be Melania Trump.
