'Full House' Star, John Stamos, Is About To Be A Father For The First Time At The Age Of 54
Johns Stamos recently announced to People Magazine that he is expecting his first child with his fiancee, Caitlin McHugh, and we couldn’t be happier for him.
Why fans love John Phillip Stamos?
The actor first graced our TV screens as Blackie Parrish on General Hospital. His skills were already so obvious back then that he was even nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. One of his biggest, most significant role, however, was when he played the very much loved Jesse Katsopolis in Full House.
In 2015, fans who loved him in Full House got to watch him reprise his role as Netflix picked up a 13-episode sequel, titled Fuller House.

Stamos was once married to model Rebecca Romijn. The couple tied the knots in 1998, however, they separated in 2004.
Not much was known about his personal life for a while. However, while he was on an episode of The View in March 2016, he revealed he was in a relationship but he did not say who the woman was. While discussing his collaboration with the Beach Boys, he said:
This girl I’m dating she loves this song, ‘Disney Girls.’ So I put on FaceTime. I thought I could get away with [it] but people were tweeting, ‘Who are you FaceTiming?!’
McHugh, on the other hand, was not very shy when it came to talking about her beau in glowing terms. Earlier this year, she said Stamos was very encouraging when it came to her career and it was something she appreciated about him.
On October 23, 2017, John Stamos, through the sweetest Instagram post, announced that he and Caitlin were getting married.
Baby on the way
At the age of 54, John Stamos thought the ‘ship had sailed’ when it came to being a father. Evidently, the universe had other plans.
On Wednesday, December 13, the actor announced to People Magazine that he was going to be a father and he was very thrilled about it. "I always wanted to be a dad," he told the publication.
In the interview, he said he was always told that he should have a child.
I was like, ‘That ship has sailed’.
But when Caitlin got pregnant, he was very excited and was determined to make it official. He revealed that it was not long after the pregnancy news that he proposed to her. And he was very traditional about the whole thing too.
So I called her parent to ask, and it was like, ‘You better!’
And how does he plan to handle the whole fatherhood thing? Stamos believed his acting experience and plus his dad/uncle roles in several TV shows have prepared him for being a father.
I’ve been practising for a long time. I’ve done every shtick you can do with a baby on TV … all the bits and jokes and diaper gags. I’ll probably just do all that.
Will that be enough? Well, only time will tell. Right now, we just cannot wait to meet Little Stamos Jr. With gorgeous parents like these, we can bet the baby boy or girl will be absolutely stunning.
