Who Will Play Meghan Markle In "The Crown"? The Former Actress Is Welcome To Join The Cast
Many of us are fans of the Netflix historical drama The Crown. But do members of the royal family watch the TV series about the Queen too? It turns out that the answer is yes!
While Prince Philip dismissed the suggestion he watched the show, his grandson seems to be a fan! In a book Prince Harry: Life, Loss and Love, the author Katie Nicholl revealed that Harry and his beloved used to watch the series at the beginning of their relationship. In fact, the two things the former actress enjoyed doing at Nottingham Cottage was cooking dinners and watching TV shows.
And since The Crown gets nearer to the present day, is Meghan Markle going to play herself in the series?
The show’s executives hope so. While discussing the future of the hit, they said that Meghan was more than welcome to join the cast. Of course, the 36-year-old is the perfect choice, considering her years of acting and successful career in Suits.
However, unfortunately, it is likely that Markle will decline the offer because she wants to focus more on the royal life. Recently, Harry’s bride-to-be has been spotted at numerous public engagements. And after she’s married into the royal family, she will have even more responsibilities.
Surely, we will miss seeing Meghan, but the directors of the show will definitely find someone suitable for the role. In fact, it will not be the first time the pair will be portrayed on the screen. Lifetime is filming a new movie with Murray Fraser and Parisa Fitz-Henley playing the engaged couple.
It will follow the couple’s relationship from the first day they met.
