Teachers’ disorderly conduct

What is worse about this incident is the fact that the students were left to settle the differences of the teachers who have been arrested for disorderly conduct in a public space.

The teachers have since been identified as Brittany Randolph-Johnson, an eighth-grade teacher, and Milan Etheridge, a special education paraprofessional.

They were fighting over a man!

It took one student and a staff member to break up the unfortunate fight between the teachers, both workers at the Stone Mountain middle school.

The cause of the fight was reportedly an unidentified man known to both women.

A student spoke to CBS46 confirmed that the man in question was a teacher. It was also confirmed that at least two students were injured as a result of the fight.

The shocked student said she could not believe that teachers were setting an example of violence.

Children exposed to toxic environments

What is disturbing about incidents like this is the fact that parents very often have no idea what their children are exposed to in learning environments.

Author of The Pressured Child, Michael Thompson, Ph.D., implores parents to seek out ways to get their children to open up to them, This is important to avoid getting dead-end answers like ‘fine’ that offer no idea of what the child’s day to day life is like.
