Queen Elizabeth has recently celebrated her official birthday. It was a huge party, and thousands of people were invited to the Royal Albert Hall in London. It was the 92nd birthday of the Queen, and her son, Prince Charles, has decided to deliver his festive speech on stage after the concert ended. And when the ovation and applause ceased, the started the speech saying:

Your Majesty, Mummy.

I have a feeling that in 1948 when you were 22, you didn’t somehow expect that on your 92nd birthday you would find your son in his 70th year.

So I am just able to still raise a small hip hip.

Would you ladies and gentlemen? Would you all give Her Majesty three unbelievably rousing cheers on her birthday?

After that, the audience gave the Queen three cheers. Everything was broadcasted live on BBC One and BBC Radio 2.

Interestingly, the Queen reacted to such words in the most unexpected way. She clearly didn’t think her son would call her ‘mommy’ in front of everyone. So, when she heard the word, her eyes got so wide! All the present went laughing. It was a truly great and touching moment.
