Emma was 27 years old and had a daughter of 3 years when she came to the show. Seeing her next to the pole wearing particular outfit, judges obviously had some doubts, as her size was 18. It is more common to see thin girls with prominent muscles getting ready for this dancing performance.

But Emma said she wanted to prove that bigger ladies can be no less graceful, skillful, and sexy as their skinny colleagues.

So, Emma managed to impress the audience with her incredible pole-dancing skills and the confident message she was sending to the world. She clearly intended to dispel some of the obsolete stereotypes, and she did a great job! The judges and the audience were simply gobsmacked by her flexibility and lightness!

Emma’s participation in the show apparently gave her a great career boost, as she has been offered a photoshoot for brand Yours Clothing as a plus-size model. Her performance really showed the healthy body confidence, which was exactly what they were looking for.

After the show, Emma said:

Producers begged me to go on the show after seeing a video of me, it was crazy. Simon Cowell said I was really good. David Walliams said it didn’t matter about my size at all.

Alesha Dixon also told Emma:

I don’t care what size you are, you are brilliant at what you do.

Now Emma gives pole-dancing classes and is really happy with how things turned out. This just goes to prove once you’re courageous enough to step outside your comfort zone, something amazing might happen!
