Sir Elton John’s Close Friendship With The Royals Makes Him Cancel Two Gigs
Sir Elton John, 70, decided to pay his respects to the royals and canceled two gigs to make sure he’ll be available for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.
The singer was away last summer in Sicily where he managed to spend some time with Prince Harry, who was dating now-fiancée Meghan Markle for about a year. He didn’t discuss his personal affairs but mentioned that he was “totally in love”.

John is especially invested in the happiness of Princess Diana’s sons due to his close friendship with her.
He called her a “great friend” although they had some rocky times in their relationship. Everything was resolved before Diana’s demise. The 70-year-old singer perfumed “Candle in the Wind” at her funeral at Westminster Abbey.
