She's Not Just A Celebrity Heiress: Paris Hilton Donated 7 Homes To Those Affected By The Earthquake In Mexico
Paris Hilton is one of those women who has many sides to her, all of which are glamorous. She’s a hotel businesswoman, model, occasional actress, and an icon of fashion and celebrity in recent decades. However, this time, Paris has made headlines for a totally different reason. The heiress has done something very praiseworthy and inspiring to help those going through difficult times in a faraway place.
The town of Xochimilco, in Mexico City, was one of the most affected areas following last September’s devastating earthquake, which left more than 300 dead, countless injured, and millions of dollars in material damage. Many people were left homeless, jobless, and totally destitute. Paris Hilton, moved by this tragedy, decided to see this town and meet its people for herself. She said:
I feel like this is my second home. I’ve been coming to Mexico my whole life. I love its people, I think they’re wonderful people…
But the hotel businesswoman went above and beyond, donating an undisclosed amount of money which will go to the construction of 7 homes for people left homeless following the earthquake, as well as clothing, toys, shoes, and more. Plus, Paris also promised to return with more help and to supervise construction of the 7 homes.
Paris Hilton joins the long list of famous celebrities who have decided to support victims of one of the recent tragedies to strike Latin America and the United States.
Miss Hilton’s act is a great example that generosity and caring for your neighbors is more important than fame, celebrity, and business. Thank you, Paris, for caring about Mexico!
