At the end of last year, Today’s host had revealed her departure from the show after serving for almost 11 years. Later, she disclosed the exact date of her last appearance to be April 5.

Fans were devastated by the news but they supported her for the best. It was announced that she will be substituted by Jenna Bush Hager. Kathie new projects will compel her to move to Nashville.

The joyous farewell party

Any known goodbye is incomplete without a celebration. Kathie also got her dedicated party to honor her departure. The lavish bash was held at the Times Square Edition Hotel in New York City on Tuesday, March 27. 

Unfortunately, Jenna couldn’t join the fun as she was away on a family vacation. But, other TV personalities made it a star-studded event. Many of Kathie’s close friends and colleagues were present to toast to her future ventures. Al Roker, Carson Daly, Savannah Guthrie, Dylan Dreyer, and Craig Melvin were in attendance.

In addition to them, their extended NBC neighbors — such as Andy Cohen, Lester Holt, Meredith Vieira, Dr. Oz, and Jason Kennedy — also made it to the guest list. Hoda Kotb proudly shared the photos of the happening occasion. Kathie looked happy beyond words.

Well-wishes came forward

Kathie’s fans on Instagram wished her all the best for her new voyage. They also gave her tons of compliments.
