Princess Eugenie And Jack Brooksbank Sent Handwritten Messages To Their Supporters
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank made their supporters feeling special by sending them thank you cards. The couple individually thanked each well-wisher who had expressed their congratulations to them on the announcement of their engagement.
Eugenie, 27, and Jack, 30, both signed the notes that were written on personalized stationery emblazoned with an ‘E’ beneath a crown.
The couple announced their engagement at the end of January. The princess told about the proposal that happened when the couple was on holiday in Nicaragua:
The lake was so beautiful, it was a special light and I even said, ‘This is an incredible moment’ and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we had been together seven years. It was the perfect moment because we knew it was going to end up this way. I was over the moon, crying.
Thank you notes from the royals are often sent after big events. But handwritten notes are considered to be quite unusual. Prince Harry, 33, and his wife-to-be Meghan Markle, 36, opted for typed thank you notes to well-wishers after their own engagement news.
The card from Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank has a photo of them that was taken during their official engagement photo shoot on the front.
Inside is the handwritten message that says:
We are so happy and excited and look forward to 2018 being a very special year for us. Thank you for thinking of us, Eugenie and Jack.
The Duchesses of Cambridge and Cornwall use similar personalized stationery emblazoned with the letter ‘C’ below a crown.
The wedding will be on October 12, in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will go to the altar at the same place in May.
